Adore this. Boredom is where creativity is born! We have too many things distracting us and hindering that creativity. Thanks for your beautiful words 💭
I really NEEDED that last paragraph. This has given me so much permission to create what I want and share it in a way that aligns with my beliefs. Thank you
I loved this post! I'm also a fill-the-silence kind of anxious, which usually ends with me feeling overstimulated and overwhelmed whomp whomp. So I hope you don't mind if I join you on this pursuit of boredom :)
I don’t just mind I welcome you in with open arms and a big old hug! Thank you for sharing your like minded thoughts… gosh I love my Substack community 🧡
I wholeheartedly agree. Lately, since deleting social media from my phone, I've often found myself sitting in my room, noticing things I forgot to notice before. I remember as a little girl, I used to love being in my room alone. With endless possibility to explore my thoughts and creativity. It is not nearly as comfortable as an adult now to embrace the silence and stillness. But its a muscle I am trying to retrain.
I adore this! Thank you for sharing this with me (and others). The part about when you were little is so relatable. The constant curiosity and enthusiasm as a kid is something I’m always trying to channel ✨
